InControl2 is Peplink's cloud-based network management platform and it is free to use for basic device management. It allows you to monitor devices, view connection status, and manage configurations remotely from any browser. Advanced features such as extended data retention, enhanced reporting, and premium support options may require a subscription. Most users find the free tier more than sufficient for everyday remote management needs.
Managing SIM cards in Peplink routers is straightforward through the device's web admin interface or via InControl2. You can set SIM priority, configure automatic SIM failover, set data usage limits per SIM, and schedule which SIM is active at specific times — all without touching the hardware. For dual-SIM models, Peplink automatically switches to the backup SIM if the primary carrier loses signal, ensuring your connection stays live without any manual intervention.
